In Novosibirsk passes the XIII international exhibition and scientific Congress "interexpo GEO-Siberia 2017"

As reported ria-sibir.ru 19 April in the exhibition complex "Novosibirsk Expocentre" took place the opening of the XIII international exhibition and scientific Congress "Interexpo GEO-Siberia 2017". From 19 to 21 April, leading experts and scientists from different regions of Russia and 24 countries around the world will exchange best practices, discuss current issues in the field of geoinformation technologies.

The exhibit includes advanced equipment and software used for remote sensing, cartography, cadastre, land management, accounting and real estate registration.

"Without modern systems of the geo-modeling, accurate spatial information it is impossible to plan territorial development, to effectively manage traffic flows, predict and prevent emergency situations, to solve other important tasks," - said the Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the Siberian Federal district Sergey meniailo.

According to the envoy, it is important to create all conditions for development of domestic manufacturers in this field, which correspond to the world analogues, have been known to consumers. Sergei Menyailo said: the Siberian regions have significant potential in all areas of science, including Earth science. You need to use this potential for socio-economic development of territories.

The business program of the Congress includes conferences, plenary meetings, round tables, seminars and presentations on topics such as geoinformation support of territorial management, the development and application of GLONASS technologies, the monitoring of territories and objects, optical and optoelectronic instrumentation, as well as on the application of appropriate technologies in state and municipal management, in scientific, educational, industrial and commercial activities, reports the Siberian district information center.
