Marks the 315th anniversary of the first Russian geographical Atlas

As reported tvkultura.ru the first Russian geographic Atlas – "the Drawing book of Siberia" – was 315 years. This is one of the earliest extant monuments of Russian cartography. Its Creator – Semyon Remezov. Thanks to this ingenious cartographer for the first time in the history of world and national geography appeared Atlas, who gave accurate historical-geographical and cartographic characterization of Siberia as a region.

Three centuries ago, this part of the Russian Empire was not practically studied and on maps it was portrayed as a white spot. Then Remezov made up of 23 unique maps, which presented a vast territory with images of rivers and settlements. Informative "Drawing book of Siberia" it is surprising so far. Experts managed to produce a reprint of the unique cards Remezov.
