As reported kodeks.ru the Resolution of the RF Government dated 29.12.2016 N 1531 established that the Russian defense Ministry and the Federal registration service shall cooperate in the organization of the following activities:
- development and maintenance of the state geodetic network, state levelling network and the state gravimetric networks, taking into account compliance density on the territory of the Russian Federation of items of the specified networks;
- creation of geodetic networks of special purpose (special geodetic networks);
- clarification of the parameters of the figure and gravity field of the Earth, and other parameters required to establish national systems of coordinates used when performing geodetic and cartographic works on the territory of the Russian Federation, in order geodetic support of orbital missions, solve navigation problems and tasks in the field of defense of the Russian Federation, and also definition of parameters of the transition state between these coordinate systems;
- create (update), preparation for publication and publishing in the territory of the Russian Federation state topo maps state of topographic maps, catalogs, geodetic, levelling and gravimetric points;
- creating topographic maps and plans, special maps and plans, thematic maps and plans, other maps and plans and map atlases.
The interaction is carried out in the framework of its competence in the following areas:
- planning and execution of geodetic and cartographic works;
- mutual exchange of information on the work performed, and spatial data and materials received in the public funds of the spatial data of the Ministry of defense of Russia and Federal service for state registration.
In order to ensure defense of the Russian Federation Ministry of defense of Russia will organize the geodesic and cartographic work in relation to separate areas of the Russian Federation, used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Geodetic and cartographic work in the territory of the Russian Federation, except in specific areas, organizing the building.
