Systematic updates

The Federal Agency of Cartography and Geodesy of Germany has updated WebAtlasDE. For the third quarter of 2021, updated data were provided for the federal states: Bavaria, Berlin/Brandenburg, Bremen/Lower Saxony, Hesse, Mecklenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony. Support for the lands of Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia in the service has been discontinued.

WebAtlasDE is a joint project of the Federal Government and the governments of the German states. Once a year, cartographic data processed in federal lands based on ATKIS digital landscape models, as well as house boundaries and house addresses from the official real estate cadastre are transmitted to the service center.

The product family for administrative regions has been expanded to include a scale of 1:5,000,000. The database includes all administrative units of hierarchical administrative levels from the State to municipalities with their borders, statistical indicators, the name of the administrative unit and the specific designation of the administrative level of the corresponding region of the country. The data is structured by levels, and the areas contained in them directly carry attribute information.

The basic digital landscape model has been updated. For ATKIS® Basis-DLM, updated data for all federal lands were transferred to the sales department.

Also, a database of administrative districts on a scale of 1:250,000 and 1:1,000,000 with updated population data is now available.
