Roscartography and MIIGAiK presented a draft strategy for the development of the university until 2030

The joint team of Roscartography, Rosreestr and Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) successfully defended the project of strategic development of the university before the commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the selection of candidates for a grant under the federal program "Priority 2030". In July 2021, within the framework of the International Aerospace Salon 2021,Roscartography and MIIGAiK signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the Priority 2030 program.

The priorities of the university will be building up the scientific component, research and innovation activities of students and university teachers, the formation of individual educational trajectories and student entrepreneurship.

"Today MIIGAiK is the only university in Russia that trains specialists for a full range of specialized areas in the field of geodesy, cartography, aerial photography, photogrammetry, optical instrumentation, geoinformation systems. We promptly respond to the request of the industry and Rosreestr, we are ready to improve educational activities, introduce additional professional programs, including digital competencies, and produce in-demand, qualified specialists," said Nadezhda Kamynina, Rector of MIIGAiK.

The international aspect is one of the key elements of the strategy. The priority tasks in this direction are to increase the number of foreign students at the university and to improve the quality of bilateral cooperation with foreign partners. Proper representation of the university in international professional organizations remains relevant.

The development strategy of MIIGAiK was highly appreciated by the commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The university's application was approved by the commission, and the university was selected for inclusion in the list of candidates for a grant.
