Rosreestr took part in the meeting of the XXXVIII session of the interstate Council on geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of States – participants of the CIS

The Federal service for state registration, cadastre and cartography (Rosreestr) took part in the meeting of the XXXVIII session of the Interstate Council for geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of States – participants of the CIS, held in Kishinev (Republic of Moldova). Deputy head of Rosreestr Sergei Miroshnichenko told about the implementation of decisions made during the meeting of the XXXVII session of the interstate Council. The participants of the meeting discussed prospects of cooperation in the training of personnel in geodesy, cartography, cadastre and Earth remote sensing, as well as the implementation of activities under the Pilot project on the concept of spatial data infrastructure of the States-participants of CIS.

The interstate Council was created to implement the provisions of the Agreement on cooperation of the States – participants of Commonwealth in the field of geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of the Earth and is a body of sectoral cooperation of the CIS. Members of the interstate Council are the heads of state administration bodies in the field of geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of States – participants of the CIS.

According to the decision adopted at XXXVII session of the interstate Council in 2016 Chairman of the interstate Council is the representative of the Republic of Moldova, co-chaired by the Russian Federation (Rosreestr) and the Republic of Armenia.

In the work of the XXXVII session of the interstate Council was also attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Uzbekistan and representatives of the European Association of Agencies of Cartography and Cadastre, EuroGeographics.
