The head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadaev sent a letter to the plenipotentiary representatives of the President of the Russian Federation in the federal districts, heads of federal executive authorities, senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation, in which he recalled the need for active import substitution of digital solutions and products.
In the letter, the Ministry indicated a list of the most popular and well-known services and digital solutions of foreign companies whose activities are fully or partially restricted in the Russian Federation, as well as a list of recommended solutions to replace them in everyday activities.
"We pay special attention to the inadmissibility of the use by government bodies of foreign digital solutions and programs for organizing video conferences, including Zoom, Zello, Webex, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Skype. To this end, we recommend considering the software products of Russian developers IVKS LLC and Trukonf LLC, which are ready to provide software and technical support for the prompt replacement of solutions from foreign manufacturers," the letter says.
The letter also says that Russia maintains a unified register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases. Currently, this registry includes more than 12 thousand products.
The Association of Software Developers "Domestic Software" maintains a list of domestic software products included in the register, in comparison with foreign analogues.
