Ural's developers have introduced the interactive haptic and sound map of Yekaterinburg

As reported obltv.ru Ural developers presented the first interactive tactile-audio map. The device not only tells but also tells the way.

It looks normal map of Yekaterinburg, but if you touch it, you will feel small raised dots – on the spot forest parks, the larger point is water. Also there are 50 major streets and 50 buildings, each object has a sound. From idea to implementation multimedia card – fully Sverdlovsk development, unique in the world, says the initiator of the project Oleg kolpashchikov. This is a joint work cartographers and blind specialists orientation in the city, worked on the map for two years. Oleg Kolpashchikov, President of public organization "White cane": "the City is perceived and how we perceive in seeing, and how it represents the blind people who walk on it. And it turned into a inclusive equipment. Inclusion that with this device the interaction is, you know, disabled people with healthy people".

It is no coincidence that the first inclusive gadget appeared in the medical College here for the past three decades teach visually impaired students from across the region. They learn therapeutic massage both in theory and in practice.

In November, a tactile map of the Ural capital will be placed in the airport Koltsovo. Ural development has already interested other regions – soon cartographic know-how will appear in Chita, and next year it will be presented at the I world Congress of people with disabilities, it will be held in Yekaterinburg.
